Rotation From Skin Contraction?

My surgery was nearly 7 months ago. Shield graft and pollybeak excision were done. My complaint right now is a fullness in the supratip and a deprojection in the tip. The supratip fullness can be pushed down and I can feel the cartilage underneath. My question is: can rotation (not de-rotation) occur from skin contraction over the cartilagous dorsum? I have read in the literature that it can, although I'm not sure. (Page 206, Essentials of septorhinoplasty: philosophy, approaches, techniques)

7 months post polly beak revision

It is difficult to give you feedback without looking at photos of your nose - but if you have supratip fullness you may wish to see your surgeon about steroid injections

Tip Rotation from Skin Contraction

Although possible, it is very unlikely skin contraction caused tip rotation and fullness of the supratip or deprojection of the tip. It is more likely secondary to the position of the shield graft, which may have moved after your surgery 7 months ago.
