Goal Weight before TT/MR - 5'6", 231lb

I am wondering what would be a good goal weight before having my TT/MR done. Im 5'6 231pds was 247pds. Goal 190-200. I have flanks that kind of fold over, right up under my bra strap above my lower back..I wanted to know what exercise would be good to tackle that, b/c I was not considering Lipo.

I think your weight loss goal would make the surgery safer and the results better.

Ideal weight for tummy tuck

Ideally, you would be around 190, but not everyone can achieve their goal weight before having contour surgery.  I have performed many procedures on patients above their ideal weight with marked improvement in shape and contour.  As far as exercising to remove the back fat, there is no specific exercise you can do to target that area.  Spot reduction is a myth.  When you lose weight, all your fat cells get a little smaller; granted, some change more than others.  Improving your diet and doing interval training are some of the best ways to lose fat.

Weight Loss and Tummy Tuck

Your current weight and height gives you a BMI of 37.3.  If your lose weight down to 190 your BMI would be 30.7. This would be acceptable to have body contouring surgery.  If you have excess and skin/fat beneath your bra then liposuction is a consideration.  Discuss this at your exam with your PS.  Best Wishes.
