What Are the Risks of Corticosteroids Injections in Face?

I have needle scarring from restalyn injections around my nasiofolds that have been obvious for 4 years now. I keep thinking they will go away, but this is not the case at all. Actually they seem to be getting more noticeable. Corticosteriod injections have been suggested but I've been told there is a risk of tissue damage. Is this true? Also, what other options do I have? Is there a cream out there I can use to soften the this under skin scar?
