I had my chin implant placed one year ago. 4 weeks ago I went to the dentist and I am concerned that she put the needle for the anesthesia shot close to my implant, I'm not even sure if she touched my implant with the needle. She said she didn't, but I'm not so sure. Although painless on my chin area I still feel a discomfort and one week ago I had two tiny water bumps in my inner cheek that have already dissapeared. Would I have a problem if she touched it? Would there be a risk of infection?

A chin implant is inserted through sub mental approach to give forward projection to the chin and mandible. There is also small amount of added vertical height and lateral width that occurs with the implant as well. The implant will have no effect on the lower lip.
