i have got bug bite scars and i applied shea butter for few days but i dint find any result.Its been 2-3months but the scars are not lightening.Please provide a solution to get rid of these bug bite scars.Please check this attached snapshot.

Treatment of dark spots
If the bug bite area are only discolored, hydorquinone products will lightend the dark pigment over time. If the bug bite areas are depressed as well, scar revision might be necessary. I would need to see the scars before recommending any cosmetic devices or procedures.

Treatment for scars on legs
Thank you for your question.
I can see from the photos that you had a bad post-inflammatory reaction - with hyperpigmentation and scarring. This is quie common in Asian and African skin types. It is also seen in people deficient in Vitamin D.
With time the problem will improve but can take many months.
Using topical preparations containg Retinol, Steroid and Vitamin C will help. Microneedling also can trigger tissue remodelling. See your dermatologist to get advise on these.
