Scar treatment
Most scars will improve with time and may take a year or two to reach maturity and look their best. In the meantime there are a few things you can do. Avoid sun exposure and make sure you use sunblock to protect the scar while it is healing. Scar treatment can consist of using silicone tape or ointment. A scar revision may be considered if it doesn't heal to your satisfaction. Seek a consultation with a plastic surgeon now so you can receive specific instructions.
