Subcutaneous scarring after Rhinoplasty

Can SUBCUTANEOUS (no cutaneous scarring present) scar revision be performed in the dorsal and/or supratip region of the nose?

The reason for this question is that I've been told by my M.D. that subcutaneous scarring, after numerous (a total of 4) Rhinoplasties, is the probable cause behind the fluctuating swelling in my nose (even after 5 years). Thanks ever so much for your help! Nordic
