I had a rhinoplasty June 2010. By October I was have breathing trouble due to nasal valve collapse. My PS kept telling me that it would get better but it didn't. By April 2011 I couldn't take it anymore and went to see an ENT. He said that I need a septoplasty and that he would move some cartilage to the nasal sidewall for support. It didn't work. I'm deploying in August and am desperate to fix this problem before I leave. I found a PS/ENT who said he could fix it.Is it safe to this soon?

Timing of revision

If your septoplasty was done internally (through the nose) then it will likely be OK to follow with a septorhinoplasty a couple of months after. As far as cause of your nasal obstruction - it appears to be more nasal valve collapse than septal deviation.

Revision 2 Months after Septoplasty

It is safe to do a revision 2 months after septoplasty to improve your compromised breathing, but it is very unlikely you will get the best result having the operation before healing is complete. You still have problems after two procedures - each operation becomes more difficult because of scarring and changes in circulation. Despite your frustration, be patient so the next operation will be your last.
