My nose is chubby, can Rhinoplasty help? I was told by a surgeon that it will not have a major effect because the problem is not the bone. Is there any other way?

Thick skin does not lend itself very well to rhinoplasty
The nose presented in this picture has very thick skin and will not lend itself very well to a rhinoplasty procedure. A rhinoplasty procedure is performed to sculpt cartilage and bone, it is not a skin operation. The skin is simply lifted up, sculpting of the bone and cartilage is performed, and the skin put back down

Thick Nasal Skin in Rhinoplasty Surgery
Your thick nasal skin contributes to the "chubby" look. You cannot make a significant change in the skin, but you can change the size and contour of the underlying cartilage and bone which may improve the appearance. It is difficult to be specific without seeing a picture of your nose. Schedule a consultation with an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon.

Rhinoplasty for a chubby nose
Your nose appears to have thick and oily skin, which will put you in the category of a "difficult nose job." The reason is that no matter what is done underneath the skin to improve the nose, it may not be visible when the thick, oily skin is laid back down over the bone and cartilage.

Rhinoplasty and Chubby Nose

Your photo of your nose is very limiting. It is hard to say if you could...

Rhinoplasty for the "Chubby" Nose
Hi Stuk,
It does appear that you have thick, oily skin which is causing your perception of a "chubby" nose.
It is also difficult to answer your question without examining your nose and palpating your underlying cartilage structure.
Rhinoplasty can help improve your nose, the question is to what degree, and whether it would be enough to meet your expectations. I would approach your nose through an external or open approach, defat your tip, and probably use nasal septal...

Rhinoplasty can correct chubby nose
Rhinoplasty can address different aspects of the nose, including bone and/or cartilages involved. The "chubby" nose is from the cartilage size/position with its skin envelope. Depending on what you want your nose to look like after surgery, rhinoplasty can do it.
