Hello dear surgeons, I had a Rhinoplasty on 24 June (and earlobe reduction). The hard cast on my nose was NOT straight from the operation room. Two days post op, the surgeon down played it, saying the cast was like "a hat to protect, not to shape the nose"! Yesterday I had the cast removed, and I have now a living proof that the nose is not straight, looks like the fault is coming from the 2nd half downward. Or was that a fault in the actual surgery? all comments highly appreciated.

Crooked cast

If the nose was crooked at the end of surgery then the cast will appear crooked. It the nose was straight at the end of surgery and the cast was put on incorectly it could twist the nose. Massage or pushing the nose over and perhaps tapling might salvage the problem.

Crooked nose

Correction of the crooked nose (or avoiding a crooked nose as a result of rhinoplasty) is a challenging aspect of rhinoplasty. It is unlikely that a crooked cast caused the deviation - likely the reverse is the case
