Avoid Retinoids prior to Fraxel treatments

Retinoids and glycolic acid products can affect healing after Fraxel restore (1550 wavelength) treatments. In our dermatology practice in Orange County Fraxel treatments are very popular and we have learned it is crucial for patients to avoid these products for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Fraxel repair (CO2) and Fraxel thulium treatments may not be affected by these products however.
