Fractional results take 3-4 months for full effect!
When you go for a factional laser treatment, your doctor or technician should let you know what you can expect in terms both the treatment and the post-treatment downtime and results. The full effect of the fractional treatment occurs three to 4 months after your treatment. The full effect of the collagen simulation is visible at this point.
If you do not see the results you expected, it could be that you were a better candidate for three less invasive treatments, spaced 2-4 weeks apart....

Results after fractional laser treatment
There are many different types and strengths of fractional lasers, so it would be helpful to know which type was performed on you. If a very strong laser such as fractional CO2 was performed, you may have up to 2 weeks of healing time and will see results immediately after you are healed. If you had a very gentle fractional treatment (such as in a medispa), you may need multiple treatments before seeing significant results. I recommend only having fractional laser treatment...

Wrinkles Around The Eyes Require Multiple Treatments With Fractional Lasers
A wonderful article in the April 2011 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology looked at fractional resurfacing for wrinkles on the lower eyelids. The author studied 25 patients and found that on average patients required 3 treatments in order to achieve noticeable improvement. For this reason, we usually recommend a series of treatments at the outset in my practice.
