I have been getting collegen and now Restylane for about 10 years now. At the momen, this is the first screw up I have had and it was from a MedSpa on Long Island NY. This doctor, convinced me to inject the Resylane on the insides of the corner of my upper lips. In doing this he's gone one step above the freakishness of Trout pout, instead I look like ape lip. He injected is so that it went up and out of my lip. It brought the corners of my pips up, but the rest down. Since it went partly outside, I now have nasal Labial folds from it. I have a natural nice cupids bow that i would get lined and then filled a little on the corners of each side. I am so pissed that I let him convince me to do this! I look like total sh't and I want to cry. it's right before Christmas and I just hat this guy at the moment!! NEVER go to a MedSpa without looking up each one's credentials. Has anyone else had this happen?

Thank you everyone for your comments. I have trout pout from today and have been trying to keep from freaking out. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. But I also had my lines on the sides on my nose done, which are already great :)

Help, its been 5 days and my lips still look huge. I had restylane. It was only meant to be a top up as the first lot didnt really make much difference. What should I do??

i had resty done about 2 weeks ago and the swelling took a couple of days...i do have this little buldge in the inside of my bottom lip and not sure why? i had to go back 2 days ago for a little more, wasnt quite even. i had it done due to trauma on one side so trying to correct it, anyway..that side is still really swollen (the left) im trying not to freak out reminding myself it did take a good 3-4 days.

the next time you get restylane in the lips, have your dr.stay away from the lip line and just inject in the barbells of the lip. works great. gives fullness without the duckbill look.

I just had restylane injections 5 days ago. I am SO briused! Told I could go back to work right away. Very good thing I took 5 days off and it's looking like more to me. Still very bruised. Also have that "duck bill" going on too.Work in an inviroment (bartender) where everyone looks at you very closely...I KNOW they will be able to tell I've had something done. DON'T BELIEVE THE DOWNTIME STORIES!!!! Takes a couple of weeks if you don't want to show any swelling or bruising

I did a lot of research before my restylane and as a result I decided to inject myself. I did my nasal folds, cupids bow and lip line and it turned out very natural looking. I injected a little bit at a time over a few days till it was exactly what I wanted. .

Had restalyne injected in top and lower lips over the course of several weeks - to manage the appearance and results closely. In the end, my top lip is flattened. The sides higher than the "pout". I have what I call a "got milk" mustache effect of white/raised material bumping up my upper facial skin over my top lip. What a disaster! I want to do vitrase, but am afraid of things going from bad to worse. I think you have to be careful if you are allergic to bee stings, etc. I'd love to get some feedback if you have experience like this and any more knowledge or advice.

I had restylnne done 10 days ago and still have the duck look. The lip lines are visible on the left side and the right looks better. The lines around the lower mouth did not take well at all. Should i return to the doctor to do something about the ridiculous pout?

I have had Restylane a couple times with mild conservative results that I liked - I just went somewhere new and paid a lot , got more anesthetic than usual and am not liking how I look right now - I DO look like the Joker and it is making it hard for me to smile ... I look swollen between my nose and lip area , is that just from the numbing injections? He used the whole syringe (1cc which I have never done before) and I am really hoping this calms down enough so I can go to work on Monday and look people in the face! My feeling is that there is really an art to this and you need to see some work of whomever is doing this before picking someone. Right now I am just hoping to wake up looking normal ... this is not what I have experienced before ... i don't know how much time to give this before seeking reversal help?
