I am thinking about having Restylane to plump my lips, the doc. is certified ob/gyn but is a certified laser specialist and specializes in skin care. Should I rethink this?

I had restylane on the lines around my mouth.I had the first injections done 2 weeks ago and then a bit more last week as the doctor didn't want to do it gradually. The only problem is I do have lumpy bits all around my mouth. You cant really notice them head on but when you look at my profile, you can really notice them.Any suggestions?Does massage work?I'm afraid to do anything that might make them worse!!

I had Restylane injected under my eyes. It reduced the appearance of dark circles and fine lines the first few times, but this last time my doctor overfilled WAY too much. He told me it would eventually be absorbed by my body, but it has been a year and 1/2 (!!!) and I still look like I have bags under my eyes (and I didn't before). He never mentioned vitrase or hyaluronidase. I want to see a doctor who is good with Restylane to get rid of the overfill. Can anyone recommend someone in Manhattan? I want this bad job dissolved and then done right.

I need to find someone who can inject the Vitrase for me. I am 2 weeks post injection and the trout lip has not gone away. People notice it on me and say I have really weird looking lips. I think they know I had juvederm injected. How long does it take the Vitrase enzyme to work? Does anyone know a doctor in Atlanta who can administer this? Is a dermatologist the way to go? I am definately not going back to my PS. Editor note: you must join RealSelf so you can be contacted privately with doctor recommendations and feedback. A little feature to hyaluronic acids (Restylane and Juvederm) is that they can have results reversed within weeks rather than waiting for months to diminish. A injection of hyaluronodase will break down the hyaluronic acid more rapidly. You'll be close to the original appearance within 2 weeks and can reinject again if you like after that. This won't reshape little areas, it will break down most of what has been injected in an area and return to your previous appearance. There is no solution like this for any other filler type, only hyaluronic acids.
