I have had my lips with coolagten and resylane and now with Juvederm done. Them most important factor is the injector. I have been t omay doctors, but {edited} Beverly Hills is THE BEST. He is truely an artist. I had the best NATURAL RESULTS that lasted. Editor note: you must join RealSelf so you can be contacted privately with doctor recommendations and feedback. I've had restylane twice and have discovered that the doctor makes the difference. The first doctor (who doesn't have convenient hours, which is why I didn't go back- mistake!) did a small amount quickly (one shot on each side of upper lip and one or two shots in the bottom lip). The upper lip he did more underneath and on the sides instead of on top everywhere, and it gave such a natural look. There was almost no bruising or swelling and I went to work the next day. In fact, I went to the mall that afternoon. This time, with the different doctor, who did many injections (still the same amount of restylane) and was able to b/c he used a dental blocker, there was terrible swelling and bruising. I'm afraid the look will be unnatural when the swelling goes down. Discuss with your doctor h/her technique before you have the injection.

I had juvederm injected under my eyes 5 days ago, and I think the dr injected too much--I have ridges where the fullness should be (so he hit the target) but it looks overfilled and creates a darkness about the fill. Is it too soon to think I need to go back in for him to try to reduce it? I'm still a bit bruised, but I don't think these ridges are swelling--I think it's too much injected... Any one have thoughts on this?

I'm having my upper lip permanently enhanced on Tuesday. The doc is using softform (like gortex)... or some version of it. Has anyone had any experience with permanent lip enhancement? I hope I don't end up looking like Mr. Ed....

I had restylane 3 days ago & in the chair it didin't look bad but that evening after I got home omg! I LOOK LIKE the JOKER on batman. I already have a large bottom lip & only wanted it in my corners to plump them but it appears there is little to none there its all in my bottom lip on the sides of it. I have had this procedure 3x's before at this office by different doctors and it went well but, this time is a nightmare! According to my doctor I wanted to look like this and she acts as though its all my problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?

on this website I think there is quite a bit of discussion on getting rid of restylane. It is possible to dissolve it. Myself I would like to be able to get rid of sculptra.
