Just had some injections yesterday and am feeling very conflicted. I feel like "trout pout" (my first thought was it looked like a ducks mouth) I am hoping this will disappear in a couple of days!
I had Restalayne in my lips last Friday and looked like a duck. but I saw the funny side and was reasurred that it would go down. Its almost a week on and I love my new lips. The are not over done. Just enhanced. the lipline and cupids bow.
Was I "quackers" to have it done" ? ha ha
Nah, I will definately go for a top up in 6 months.
I have DUCK LIPS! I am so worried that I made a bad choice. It's only been a day so I am hoping they go down some more. Will icing the area help them "deflate" faster?
After one Restylane syringe injected around the mouth and downward from corners, I had extensive bruising on one side that did not fade for almost two weeks. Also, there was no improvement whatsoever in wrinkling, sagging. Could it be that Restylane simply does not work in some skin types? I have thin, fragile skin.
I had TOO much restylane injected and just went back two weeks later to have it dissolved. The doctor who administered it should be able to do this (for free) and if not then most major clinics can administer hyaluronidase (the enzyme that degrades it within a few hours). It takes it down to the size you want, it's not painful and it also helps to dissolve lumps with restylane and several other fillers. I'm happy to know that I'm NEVER stuck with a poor job.
Restylane can be dissolved? Wow. My doctor told me i had to wait it out. the restylane would get absorbed naturally. Thank you for sharing this tip. my doctor is going to get an angry call!

Yeah, I just filled out a review on it because I'm finding that not enough people are aware of the fact that it can be dissolved quickly (less than one day) and it is very upsetting to get a bad restylane job or to have it act weird in your body. Dissolving it isn't all that new either it's just that only doctors who do restylane a lot are aware of this-so your doctor may have not known. If he looks for it I think the most common form is vitrase.
The fact that it can be dissolved makes it (to me) a better filler than the longer lasting ones because mistakes happen with everything.
I had restylane injections on my lips yesterday. I am really panicking because they are too large!! There also appears to be an inbalence - one side of my top lip is larger. I don't really have any bruising - one small bruise on the side. Did anyone have a similar experience? Is this just swelling?
