Bellybutton after hernia repair.

Thanks for your question. Sometimes the repair oven and the local hernia can affect the appearance of the bellybutton. It's hard to know how to guide you without seeing the appearance. I think that your best bet would be to post some photographs of your belly button with your question, or see a board certified local plastic surgeon in your area.

I receive several calls a year for this problem. Without a picture it is difficult to determine wheter anything can be done. I may not be understanding your question. Are you saying that your belly button is now flat after an umbilical hernia repair. Depending on the size of your hernia and the hernia repair required, this can definitely impact the appear of your umbilicus.
