for about 7years I have used tweezers to pluck hair from both my underarms but it leaves a scar each time I use them (partly because I pluck out tiny hairs which aren't long enough for removal). What are the options for reducing the dark brown scars that have resulted from this?? I have since purchased an epilator so the problems with tweezing shouldn't plague me any more.

The scars you describe will need to be evaluates to see if they are the result of pigmentary changes from the trauma of tweezing or pinpoint hypertrophic scarring. What the "scar" looks like will determine what method will be best to resolve/improve them.
