Remove Failed Gastic Band?

Can a bypass or gastric sleeve be performed at the same time my failed gastic band is being removed. The band has embeded into my stomach, causing holes at either side.

Conversion of failed gastric band

We commonly convert failed band patients to either sleeve or bypass. On the other hand, I would not do such a coversion if the band has eroded into the stomach. I would first remove the band, then come back later to do the sleeve gastrectomy.
