Hello. I think if you really want to get rid of the scar you will do the following. 1. Kenalog injections (for bumpiness). 2. Pulsed dye laser treatments (for reddish color). While these may be considered expensive doctor treatments by you, they are going to give you the best chance of returning that scar to the same color and texture as the surrounding skin. Good luck.
