I am 18 y/o. 2 years ago I was surprised by debilitating symptoms. To control the symptoms, I was put on a high dose for a little more than a year. I went from 163lbs to 290lbs even though I am a VERY healthy person (no pop, balanced diet which I maintained on the meds). I've made it to 198lbs but my body is ruined & the loose skin rubs and makes me uncomfortable, to say the least. Is there any way my insurance would pay for reconstructive surgery?

Addressing damage to the body from prednisone use

Unless the excess skin folds on itself giving rise to rashes or skin breakdown that is documented to recur despite topical medications their surgical removal will not be covered by insurance. It sounds like you will need a combination of liposuction and surgical removal of excess skin to achieve the look you want.
