Liposuction is not for weight loss
Before considering having liposuction, you should be within 15 pounds of your ideal body weight. The purpose of liposuction is to contour areas which are resistant to diet and exercise. The purpose is not to produce weight loss.

Laser Liposuction
The weight is only one figure to evaluate. The BMI or body mass index is also figured into the equation. In addition, your overall health, fitness for surgery, and clearance form your primary doctor are all factors to consider.

Proper weight for (laser) liposuction
Ideally, you should be as close to your ideal weight before any type of liposuction. The procedure should focus on the areas of your body that don't improve with diet and exercise. However, if you tried your best, then consider a larger volume liposuction.
