I understand that no one can really estimate the cost of a rhinoplasty, but I was just wondering if a radix graft was generally more expensive than other procedures, such as removing a hump. Does it require separate procedures? Some general info would be great. thanks a lot!

You should get specific guidelines from your own surgeon. I let must of my rhinoplasty patients ease into exercise at two weeks. Overly strenuous excercise can result in increased swelling which can be worrisome, but it would be only temporary.
This is really a tragic story. It sounds like your daughter is in good hands in the ER at the moment. She will need to be referred to a facial reconstructive surgeon. Depending upon the severity of this injury, healing might not require anything more than wound care and close observation....
A closed rhinoplasty to reduce the hump would be reasonable. I would agree that there is a not a great deal to change with your nose.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
