I too am having problems with Radiesse causing hard lumps under my eyes. They are migrating down my cheeks. It's been 3 months since the injections and I still have swelling and redness, along with shooting, stabbing pain. I contacted the company that produces Radiesse and was told that it isn't FDA approved for use in the eye area and that they tell doctors not to use it there. I made a mistake of letting a quack in Dana Point, CA treat me. Upon checking him out, I found that he has worked as an ER doctor, has also claimed to be a Urologist, and is now passing himself off as a Dermatologist. I don't know what I was thinking as I have worked in the medical field and I know to do my research. I strongly suggest to everyone to research your doctor and the product very thoroughly before having any procedure done. By the way, when I reported the Radiesse reaction to the doctor, he claimed it wasn't caused by the product. Then he refused to return my phone call.

I have been calling the Sales Reps for Radiesse and the Doctor who did this injection under my eye, but no one calls back because no one wants to hear from the one person who has bad news, when they are making so much money off the other people. The Dr did refund my money from the shot I paid for, but this is so horrible and stupid. I didn't even ask for it under my eye. I wanted it just in my Nasio Folds. She somehow got the idea I should have a little injected under my right eye. Now it's a puffy mess under my eye and its been over 3 months now. I wish I had just left it alone.

While Radiesse is a wonderful dermal filler, I would strongly discourage its use in the under-eye area. The lower eyelid skin is too thin to redrape over Radiesse effectively, leaving bumps and asymmetries that will last up to 18 months. It is less resistant to massage and nearly impossible to mold into a tear trough deformity, plus there is no enzyme that can be injected to dissolve Radiesse should you not like the result.

Stick with Restylane or Perlane. Both are hyaluronic acid gels that are easy to work with, look great in the tear troughs, orbital hollows, and malar crescents, are malleable and massage-able, and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase should you not like the result.

I had radiesse 10 weeks ago. Some was put around my cheek area to fill in around scar tissue. That I love it looks great . The rest was put in the corners of my eyes to "reduce a little hollowing" I hate it .I have spent ten weeks looking like I am on heavy drugs. I have extreme dark areas in the corner of both eyes. When I ctry to cover with make up it makes it worse. Please advise!!!!

I had it done on May 8th under my right eye, and it's STILL swollen and red. Just horrible. I have called the manufacturer, BioForm Medical at 1 866 862 1211 and complained. I called the FDA & Med Watch and put in a complaint about the product. I have gone to 3 other plastic surgeons to find some help, but there is nothing they can do. They said I just have to wait for it to dissolve and it could take over a year!!!!! HOW DO DOCTORS GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!!!????

Hi Ladies, I have now been to three other Plastic Surgeons who say there is nothing that they can do for me. I just have to wait for the swelling to go down. I called BioForm, 1 866 862 1211, the people who manufacture Radiesse and talked with someone for an hour about my situation and all the other victims that I can see here on Realage. They said they can only give my "Doctor" suggestions on how to help, because I am not "their patient" I am my "Doctor's patient". Well, isn't that nice? My Doctor is not answering my calls or messages. What I do have is a phone number to call and put in a complaint with the FDA. It's called MedWatch and the # is 1 800 638-2041. It's called Centers for Medical Devices, for some reason. We all need to get some documentation to get this product off the shelf and out of peoples faces!!! So this is the first step. I will try to find out about a class action suit, but it's very hard to sue anyone in the business money making monopoly called "Medicine".
