I'm very interested in having a Breast augmentation by was told by a surgeon that for the best results i should have breast lift as well. My question is that since I do plan on having children at some point and breast feeding, would I be pointless to get a lift now?

It is not necessarily pointless having a lift prior to kids but you should be aware that pregnancy could might change your breasts and affect the final result. You should also speak to your PS about your particular breast lift operation and the potential impact on breast feeding (if this is important to you).

Answer: Lift before kids? This is a great question and one I confront on a weekly basis. Honestly, it depends upon your finances and, in Queens, I don't see many patients for whom this is inconsequential. If you have a lift and then gain weight during pregnancy or breast feed, the likelihood is that you will need a revision. Anyone who sloughs this off is being less than truthful as opposed to losing a case. If the need for later surgery and its costs aren't critical issues for you, then by all means you could have surgery at this point.
