Purple Stitches in my Gums After Jaw+Chin Surgery That Were Not Removed. Normal or Will They Dissolve? (photo)

I had Jaw and Chin surgery in Korea. The procedure was done inside my mouth. I had purple stitches in several areas of my gums (sides where my cheeks are, and under my front teeth) that were removed on Day 13. I am now Day 17 post-op and back in the U.S. and find that there are still purple stitches embedded under my gums. I was able to dig one out. I loosened up another one, but when I pull on it, it won't come out. Will purple stitches dissolve? Help.
