Pulse Dye Laser for Scar?

Calve muscle on both legs , from having surgery for compartment syndrome , I have had 1 session of pulse dye laser and the scars look more red and noticeable them before and this is 3 weeks after having the pulse dye laser , how long is the healing time after having laser ? Should the scars be more red 3 weeks after having laser?

Pulsed Dye Laser is a great treatment for scars

You may have persistent redness for 6 weeks after Pulsed Dye Laser treatment, especially on the lower legs which are generally slower to heal than other body sites. PDL works by injuring the blood vessels and can cause temporary bruising and redness. However, PDL used aggressively is a powerful tool.
