I wish to remove implants. April 2004. 1 swelled and painful. When asked if sagging can be prevented if implant is removed and NOT replaced. Techniques such as removing all scar tissue, re-cushion pocket to ensure brest does not sag once healed. Additional technique is to place breast muscle higher to ensure breast will appear tight. Key questions I shoukd ask to determine if they have done these procedures before.

It will be in your best interest to ask your plastic surgeon about his/her experience with the proposed procedure. Viewing before and after pictures will be helpful. When performing an explantation, it is difficult to determine how the native breast tissue will respond to the removal.  Some do remarkable well.

I am not certain about what you mean by re-cushion but you can achieve breast fullness with fat grafting. This may require more than one surgery. Ask for the physician to show sample photographs.
