I hate my overall nose but the profile is my least favorite. If I have it corrected, will it also affect the front view of my nose? also can the alar be fixed? I feel like mine droops downward from a profile view and just makes it all the more worse, plus they are very bulky and too defined in my opinion.

Rhinoplasty Can Change all Parts of Nose
Everything you ask can be done with a rhinoplasty. Submit pictures, or better yet, schedule a consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon for an examination and recommendations.

Rhinoplasty to improve nasal appearance
Rhinoplasty can address the entire aspect of the nose. Correcting a hump or bump on profile can provide a smoother, more natural and flowing appearance to the nose on frontal view. A droopy or ptotic nasal tip on profile can also be corrected with rhinoplasty which should enhance your frontal view as well.

Rhinoplasty should address all views of the nose
The nose is a three-dimensional structure that needs to look good from both side profiles, three-quarter profiles, and front on. It also needs to breathe properly after the surgery. Tip and alar reduction surgery are commonly performed at the time of the surgery. Alar flaring is typically reduced with alarplasty. Bulkiness of the tip can be reduced by cephalic trim of the lower lateral cartilages along with sutures placed in the tip to reduce the width.

Will a profile reduction rhinoplasty affect the nose from the frontal view
If you have never liked the way your nose looks in general, I would recommend that you look for photos of noses that are similiar to yours, but that you like. I would then make appointments with a couple of Board Certified Plastic Surgeons who are experienced in rhinoplasty surgery, and bring the photos in with you. Tell them in detail what it is about your nose that you would like to change, and show them the photos. Ask them to do computer imaging to show you what...

Profile Improvement Rhinoplasty may Affect Frontal View Too
As other rhinoplasty surgeons have already stated, it's difficult to provide a more specific answer without photographs.
Rhinoplasty is not one operation, but many potential operations. Rhinoplasty surgery is unique for each person based on individual anatomy and personal goals. Cosmetic nose surgery to improve profile involves removal of cartilage, bone, or both. Tip rhinoplasty may be performed via an endonasal (closed) or open approach to refine and narrow the tip. Droopy tip...

Profile Plasty will not affect tip position
Profile reduction alone will not change the frontal view in any real way. Sometimes, a slight widening of the dorsum will occur, especially if the hump is very pronounced. Secondary bone narrowing will help to minimize this by deepening the shadow contours along the sides of the nose.
Alar asymmetry is often due to a deviated caudal septum. Septoplasty will often help to correct this issue. If other minor asymmetries are present in the nostril edges, small grafts can be place to...

Rhinoplasty alters all views of the nose.
All of the issues you mentioned can be addressed with a rhinoplasty. Both the profile and the alae can be made to be in better proportion. See an experienced rhinoplasty surgeon and discuss the pro/cons of doing different alterations.

Profile views and rhinoplasty
Patients may have differing degrees of improvement from the profile and frontal views. Since the nose is three dimensional, any alterations to the bridge or dorsum can effect both views. It more dramatically effects the profile however, Typically, alterations to the tip are seen more commonly on the frontal view but may be seen on profile and side views as well. I hope this information helps.

Rhinoplasty is a comprehensive procedure that addresses all parts of the nose
We often talk about modifying the profile or the tip or removing a hump from the nose. However the vast majority of patients need some tweaking to all parts of the nose. Noses need to be balanced. It is rare that we just address the profile. This is why there are 8 standard photographic views (sometimes more) from every angle to make sure that all aspects of the nose is addressed.
