Chicken pox scar
I think that treatment with a filler will likely give you substantial improvement. This could be combined with a resurfacing procedure such as a chemical peel or a laser treatment.

I agree with Dr. Enzer that surgical treatment is usually requred for chicken pox scars and that laser therapy may play an adjunctive role but is not sufficient as a stand-alone treatment. Some patients seek temporary relief from injectable fillers such as Restylane.

Chicken pox scars are deep, and thus any treatment must include release of scar tissue under the surface skin and placement of a mid-level skin graft (subcision with dermal graft). However there is also usually damage to the surface skin layer, and thus most patients benefit from a secondary treatment with a resurfacing laser.
