you have a weak chin based on these photos. Contrary to your statement, chin implants are permanent and will outlast your decomposing bones after your life is over.

Sliding Genioplasty vs Chin Implant

+1

You have a very weak chin with a significant horizontal deficiency. This is ideally treated by a sliding genioplasty (moving the chin bone) which can make more of a horizontal change than most-off-shelf implants. (short of a custom design) There is no reason to fear a chin implant as they are permanent and have no risk of moment if screwed into placed.

Have I got a weak chin?

Yes, you do have a weak chin. A chin implant is typically a permanent solution for this problem and his short downtime. There is a small risk of malposition of the implant but this is very uncommon. If you also have significant problems with the way that your teeth fit together then a jaw advancement surgery could improve your profile while also improving your bite. I hope this information is helpful.
