Topical Retin A, Hydroquinone and microdermabrasion are best preparation for resurfacing

If you are having ablative frational laser resurfacing, Lux 2940 by palomar, or any other ablative resurfacing then some skin preparation is best. I use a combination of Retin A and 4% Hydroquinone for a few weeks to a month prior when possible. The obagi Blender #5 can be substituted for the hydroquinone. If you are having non-ablative resurfacing=Lux1540 or 1440 then no preparation is necessary.
