Why is It Not Preferred to Have Lumineers Put over Crowns?

Is having lumineers over crowns really just a temporary fix? What are the risks of doing this? What percentage of patients end up having problems soon after lumineers are put on? Why and what could be done to reduce any problems?

Lumineers over crowns

They will fall off and make the teeth look like bulky horse teeth. It's like putting aluminum siding on top of old aluminum siding. No way, Bro or Sis!!
