i underwent a jaw surgery..i had 6 fractures due to an assault on my lower jaw...i have 4 titanium plates in my mouth...now i am not able to bite..sir i believe in what u have replied to my post . i have consulted a maxillofacial surgeon who checked my reports and said one my tooth got fractured during the trauma was not removed ..besides there was a screw that was fixed through my tooth according to my opg reports..and now may be by removing that tooth and shutting my mouth for another three weeks may solve the problem..?

What you are describing sounds like you had an existing congential mandibular asymmetry and later on you experienced a trauma while eating something big? Obviously, we would require an extensive clinical and radiographic examination before we can offer any valuable treatment recommendations...
Was your dentist an orthodontist or a general dentist?
Without further info, it would be impossible to make any recommendation. In general, at age 6, once the permanent molars and front incisors have erupted, the orthodontist would recommend Phase 1 orthodontic treatment to correct anterior...
