Are Post-Gastric Bypass Vitamins Covered By Insurance?

I'm pretty sure my provider will cover my bypass (BMI is 60) but I am worried about post-op costs. Do I need a prescription drug plan or are vitamins and supplements a part of the bypass coverage?

Costs of vitamins of gastric bypass

Most patients after gastric bypass surgery only require a daily MVI and calcium supplements.  We perform blood tests every 3 years and prescribe other supplements as necessary.  These are usually not covered by most insurance plans but the costs are pretty low.  The monthly costs for the vitamins well sell is about $15.
