Porcelain Veneers: Q&A
Ask a Question
Can Porcelain Veneers Really Make my Teeth Bigger?
I have straight, but naturally small teeth (almost like baby teeth. ( Think Miley Cyrus) and I would like to make them a lot bigger and super white. So, could I get something like the picture below? Thanks.

Porcelain veneers can make teeth bigger
Porcelain veneers can make your teeth look bigger and whiter. If you have spaces in between your teeth the veneers can help to close the spaces. If you want your teeth longer the veneers can add length, but there is a limit to how long they can be before they interfere with chewing and biting.
You may also need crown lengthening/smile lift/gum lift to make your teeth longer in the direction towards your gums if your teeth are really small.

Veneers work great for small, tiny or worn front teeth!
With good strong veneers you can add length and a width to them. And when you make them whiter your teeth will naturally look bigger. Every case is different and your bite will sometimes dictate how big you can go with your veneers. But you should definately take a photo of the teeth you like and show your dentist..They can use that to design your veneers..

Want larger teeth with veneers?
The situation you describe with small teeth is a common esthetic problem solved with Porcelain Veneers. You can review some of the photos on this site for that very circumstance. Often, you can have a trial run with "Mock Up" lightly bonded to your teeth to test out the appearance, phonetics, and chewing of the final veneers.

Porcelain veneers can add length and width
Porcelain veneers can make teeth longer, wider and whiter than they currently are. There is a limit to how much can be added, as the pattern a person chews will affect the size. If not done carefully they will break.
As long as the teeth are in the right area (not in a completely different tooth position), veneers would work well. An exam by a dentist experienced in cosmetics would help determine if you are a good candidate.
