Nail Polish and Plastic Surgery

I'm having plastic surgery and was wondering if I could keep on my nail polish (I have gel over my real nails) and take off my toe polish for them to attach the pulse monitor to during the procedure?

Nail Polish and Surgery

There is no question that certain types of nail polish can impare the ability of a pulse oximeter to measure your blood oxygen saturation. If there  is any question, please remove the nail polish on your fingernails and have it reapplied after surgery.
