hi, doctor. i have few strays of hair on chin area. i do the laser at home and after treatment, i pluck the hair out immediately. Will it affect the results if the hair is plucked out immediately after treatment?(i don't suffer from any redness or discomfort). notes: i do the laser everytime with hair on the surface before pluck them out. i just want to make sure is there any problem. thanks.

Plucking after Laser Hair Removal is fine

In order for Laser Hair Removal to be effective, pigmented hair must be present at the time of the laser procedure.  The pigmented hair absorbs the laser energy, and the heat is transferred to the wall of the hair follicle-- damaging or destroying it.  Removal, or plucking, of the hairs after Laser Hair Removal should not effect your results.

Plucking and laser hair removal

There is no theoretical concern of plucking after laser hair removal. Certainly,  hair should not be plucked prior to laser hair removal as that negatively interacts in the effectiveness of the laser therapy.
