Are the dangers of performing plastic surgery on males greater than the risks on women? Are procedures more complicated on males? If so, how?
Differences and risks between male and female plastic surgery
Anatomy differs on what is performed. For example a male tummy tuck rarely involves muscle tightening whereas a female tummy tuck nearly requires it. Facial cosmetic procedures on males must take into account facial hair as well as male pattern baldness.
Hypertension in males and the facial hair growth tend to make makes more likeley to experience a hematoma after facial surgery. The incidence of cardiac disease is higher in males compared to femaile in their mid 50's. However, each individual must be approached with a focus on their unique situation.
