Plastic surgery and present medical conditions

This combination of preexisting medical conditions could definitely be a potentially serious health risk, and each one could also aggravate the next.

Uncontrolled High blood pressure could lead to more bleeding during surgery, and if you are already anemic this could lead to having to do a blood transfusion. Also anxiety and depression could become worst in the postoperative period and could play an important role in elevated blood pressure levels putting you again at a higher risk for bleeding.

So first thing is to get this conditions under control and have a detailed preop evaluation performed months ahead of time.

No aesthetic procedure is worth the risk.

No patient should undergo plastic surgery , which is an elective procedure , with any untreated health conditions and the corresponding clearance of the primary doctor ( Cardiologist , Psychiatrist .... )

Anemia is not acceptable for elective surgery.

Make sure , you are healthy before you undergo any  surgery  .

Best wishes

Hello Good Morning ,

For any surgery including selective surgery you need to be cleared health wise to be able to go through it however , there are ways to help you improve to be able to level your iron levels , high blood pressure etc. Afterwards when you are cleared you can go ahead and schedule your surgery.

Cosmetic surgery is elective procedures. Any pre-existing condition has to be worked up and treated before and after surgery. The anemia need full work up and the blood levels brought to normal. High blood pressure need to be controlled for at least one month prior to surgery and after surgery. Depression and anxiety, would need to be under the crae of and treatment by a psychiatrist, before and after surgery.

All of these conditions should be managed appropriately before considering the Brazilian buttlift.  I perform about 500 Brazilian buttlifts each year, and this procedure is the most surgeon dependent plastic surgery procedure.  Find a plastic surgeon with ELITE credentials who performs hundreds of Brazilian buttlifts each year.  Then look at the plastic surgeon's website before and after photo galleries to get a sense of who can deliver the results.
