When you go for a consultation you don't tell us about bottoming out, malpositioned breast implants, wrong size, double bubble. Maybe all surgeons should put that in their presentation, so we know what to expect.

Many board certified plastic surgeon use standard forms which review all of these complications and are approved by our society which leads me to believe that you may not have consulted with a society member.

Breast augmentaton informed consent

Part of the consultation is discussing the complications. I discuss this with my patients during one of their pre-op visits.  I agree it is very important to make patients aware of the risks.

Don't categorize all plastic surgeons based on some bad experiences

I sounds as if you have had some bad experience with your plastic surgeon(s).  While it is true that some plastic surgeons may fail to disclose all the potential risks of a procedure, this is not the norm.  As physicians we have an obligation to disclose all the risks, alternatives, and benefits of all procedures that we do.
