I have some bothersome veins that become very painful during pregnancy, but I also don't want to make is worse, or "undo" the treatment by the pregnancy. My left leg is much worse than my right leg, my insurance approved the treatment already, but I am having second thoughts before I schedule it.

Answer: Vein Treatment Recommended Before Pregnancy
Thank you for your question. Treatment for blood vessels may require more than one treatment. I would recommend consulting under the supervision of a Board Certified Dermatologist for safest and best treatment option. I hope this helps.
There is a new cream which is being released in the fall which is supposed to help redness. It is FDA- approved. The pulsed dye laser definitely improves the appearance of blood vessels as does an IPL which means intense pulsed light source.
There is no contraindication for being on Immuran and laser procedures for periorbital veins. Perhaps there will be less of an inflammatory reaction which may be beneficial in the recovery phase.
