Is Doing Chemical Peels Between IPL Sessions a Standard Course of Action?

The place I am going for photo facials suggests I do a chemical peel between IPL sessions. The NuMed spa I am going to suggests packages of Chemical peels and photo facials. They stated me with a microderm, then I did a photo facial, then 2 weeks later a chemical peel and 2 weeks after that another photo facial. I am not sure of the results I am seeing yet and wanted to know if this was a normal course to get best results?
