There are significant safety concerns.

John Please see my article posted on realself regarding eye color surgery. The surgery works by the placement of a silicone disc with the anterior chamber of the eye. While the actual surgical procedure is very straight forward, a number of vision threatening complications have been reported and people have lost vision.
