Can I Have Perlane Injected After Recent Juvederm Injection?

I have recently had juvederm voluma injected into the cheek area to add volume, I am now considering perlane filler to the same area to give a little more volume as I have heard that Perlane is good for this area. My question is can I now have Perlane so soon after having Juvederm - are the 2 products contra indicated?

Combining fillers, cheek augmentation

There is no contraindication to combining fillers. Out of all those, I prefer Radiesse. It lasts longer that the other two, and gives the best augmentation. Why don't you try that? It is a bit on the Thicker side, so you may have inflammation/swelling for a day or two longer, but its well worth it! Hope that helps.

Juvederm and Perlane work well together

You can combine any of the hyaluronic acid fillers, of which Juvederm Ultra and Perlane both are, without problems. In my practice I often layer thinner fillers (such as Juvederm Ultra and Restylane) over thicker, more robust fillers, such as Perlane, Juvederm Ultra Plus and also non-hyaluronic acid fillers such as Radiesse. Remember though, the results are very dependant on the technique of the professional injecting you and how much is used.

Juvederm and Perlane

Greetings~ You can certainly have Perlane injected into the same area where you had Juvederm injected. The two products interact well with one another. You may also consider Radiesse for the cheek area. It is excellent for adding volume to the cheek area and may give you more projection than either the Juvederm or the Perlane. Any combination with the Juvederm is perfectly safe. Good luck~ Dr. Grant Stevens

Yes, you can have Perlane injected even after you've had another filler in the same area previously.  Perlane is a great filler that flows well into the targerted fatty tissue layers of the face and is quite easy to massaage and mold into the desired shape.  I just would be cautious not to have to much put into any one area at a time to keep the appropraite aesthetic shape.

Combining different fillers

It is certainly all right to inject different fillers in the same region.  They should not interfere with each other.

Multiple fillers work fine together

Perlane and Juvederm are both hyaluronic acid fillers. This substance is the gel-like material naturally found in your skin. The two fillers differ in density and cross-linking but there is not reason you could not use them in the same area.

Combining Perlane and Juvaderm, not an issue

There is no reason why these fillers can’t be combined. Fillers such as Perlane, Juvederm and even Restylane are made from hyaluronic acids which is a natural substance that’s already in our body.

Perlane Can Be Injected Soon After Juvederm

You can get injected with Perlane or other fillers after getting Juvederm. If you need volume in cheeks then Radiesse might work better than Perlane. Regards see video

Fillers can be used together

All of these fillers are Hyaluronic acid, they can be used together and in the same area if needed. There is no containdication. The vicosity may differ from one preperation to the other. Every manufacturer will make claims that they have the best product.

Layering fillers

Yes, you can. Juverderm, Perlane, and restylene are all made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally found within your skin. The products are different in terms of size of particles and method of cross-linking. There should be no reason why these can not be used together or after one another.

Combined hyaluronic acid fillers are generally safe

Layering or combining different types of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, such as Juvederm and Perlane, is generally safe. HA fillers of different viscosities, or thickness, can sometimes be combined to achieve a more beneficial effect than either alone.

Perlane and Juvederm

Perlane is the thicker, or more viscous product compared with Restylane. Juvederm Ultra Plus in the U.S. is the thicker or more viscous product compared with Juvederm Ultra. In the U.K. Juvederm Voluma is the thicker component. If the viscosity is similar between Juvederm Voluma and Perlane, then it doesn't make sense to use two products. If the Voluma has a much greater viscosity than Perlane, than the Voluma can be placed more deeply and the Perlane, although not designed to be placed too... more

Be careful

While there is usually no problem using multiple fillers, even at the same time, there is a small danger of excess pressure from too much material in the same area causing too much pressure and compressing a blood vessel. This can cause loss of blood flow, necrosis (death) of skin and possible scars. Make sure the doctor is experienced so they can recognize this complication early and reverse it. Preferably, the same doctor should do both injections since he/she knows exactly what he/she did... more

Multiple fillers in one area

You may have perlane in conjunction with Juvederm, no problem. I would wait at least a week for swelling to subside so you don't over or under correct. Also you may want to consider cheek implants or sculptra or radiesse as longer term solutions.

Layering facial fillers can increase volume and improve the appearance of your face

Hello - Yes, you can layer your fillers with Juvederm and Perlane. This is very frequently done to add volume and fill in the lines of your face. Also, you may want to consider other products, such as Sculptra or Radiesse, as these may last longer. Good luck!

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be layered to get better results

Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm and a host of others are hyaluronic acid fillers. They are the same substances with different densities made by different companies. They can be used one on top of another in the same setting or sequentially. Sometimes it is advantageous to inject some filler then go back in a few weeks to add a little more instead of "going for it all" in one visit. There is an old saying in Plastic Surgery, you can always do more, it's much harder to do less. more

Juvederm and Perlane can be combined

Juvederm and Perlane are very similar products. Each has slightly different characteristics but they can safely be combined in treating the same area. Hope this is helpful.

Perlane, Juvederm, and hyaluronic acid

That is comparable to saying can you have anacin after bufferin or can you have motrin after advil. Essentially Juvederm and Perlane are relatively equivalent products produced different manufacturers.

Combining Different Fillers for Cheek Augmentation

Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane and several other fillers are all made with Hyaluronic Acid, a substance naturally found in our tissues. There is no medical reason why you could not have these 2 fillers placed at the same time as long as the injector does not "over-do" it. If over corrected, you would either have to wait the 8-12 months for the products to go away or have it broken down by injection of a Hyaluronidase which may break down more than you want.
