Industrial Grade Silicone for Injections
Thanks for the question.
The use of industrial grade silicone for aesthetic procedures is definitely illegal. Anyone offering such a procedure is highly suspect and I would suggest pursuing this avenue with extreme caution. In our practice we perform a lot of revisional procedures and remove silicone from various areas of the body. The deformations caused by silicone injections can vary from mild to severe. I do no recommend it. There are multiple better, safer options....

Silicone for the lips
Use of non-medical grade silicone is frowned on by the medical community. It is always important to go to a credentialed and experienced physician for your care.

Industrial Silicone is Verboten!
Injection of industrial grade silicone is most definitely illegal. Despite this, there are unscrupulous providers who will be willing to do just about anything for a buck. Be careful!

Industrial Silicone Is Not Allowed
Industrial silicone is not allowed to be medically used for anything. If someone had injections with industrial silicone this was highly illegal and a VERY bad idea.
