Repeated Seroma After Pectoral Augmentation
I'm a 36 y/o male and had pectoral augmentation in February 6 last year. About 14 months after my surgery, I had a seroma build up. My surgeon performed about 4 aspirations before suggesting to perform surgery again to avoid stretching of the skin.
So I did; now, a year after, I'm having the same problem. Seroma build up on the same side, the left side. Is this a unique case, that it's happening 1 year after the main surgery and again 2 years after?

Pec Implants Often Develop Seromas Early But...
Pectoral Implants are located in a high movement area and have a smooth hard surface. Seroma development after surgery is quite common but usually resolves with repeated aspirations. Late seroma development this far after surgery would seem unusual without some new cause like mobility of the implant (the implant is mobile and causes irritation leading to seroma) or low grade infection/colonization.
Sometimes complete removal of the previous scarring from the first surgery...
