Hi there, I recently started the refinement stage of Invisalign, which now includes rubber bands. They hooked the right side for me at the office, took it off, had me hook it myself then sent me on my way. Only the right side - they never mentioned the left. Didn't notice until last night that there's a hook for elastics on the other side of my tray. Should I assume a band is needed there, too? I mean, if it's there, a band must be needed, right? FYI - revisions consist of only 9 trays.

Answer: Confirm the elastic instructions with the office
I would not be concerned. My observation has been that many patients, including me when I had treatment, will clench more than normal. From my experience the clenching actually will help move the teeth faster.
As an orthodontist, who has successfully treated over 2600 cases, I am fairly sure that your mid-line can be corrected, especially since it was originally centered when your treatment began. If your g.p. is unable to do so, I strongly urge you to see an orthodontist, preferably an Invisalign...
It is always preferable to conserve tooth structure, when possible. That being said, your best bet is immediately removing your deciduous canine, and utilizing invisalign to bring your permanent tooth into its proper position.
