No Peeling After PDT. Why Didn't It Work?

I had PDT done with the ALA Levulan acid on Monday it is Saturday now. I sat for one hour with the treatment and the the PA used a Limelight Laser I believe to laser my face. That day it was red but went away that night. I have had minimal scabbing over some of my blemishes but other than that my face is not peeling. Did something go wrong? Should I have discontinued Retin-A use for a few days/weeks leading up to the treatment? I am so very depressed that nothing is working.
