Can PDT Be Activated by Sunlight?

I was told that I'd have great results from the levulan treatment even though it wasn't activated by the blue light. Is this true? What's the difference and disadvantages?
Levulan and PDT
Levulan needs to be activated by some type of light. Blue light is the easiest to control. Some lasers can also be used. Sunlight will activate the Levulan but it is very difficult to predict the reaction so it is not recommended.
